The team regularly get involved in local clean-ups and environmental initiatives, helping to protect the natural beauty of Whakatū and ensure public spaces remain safe, tidy, and cared for by the community.
The WM New Zealand Nelson whānau joined the festive fun at the annual Nelson Santa Parade, spreading Christmas cheer throughout the city.
The team were proud to represent WM and celebrate the season alongside customers, suppliers, and locals. Their bright smiles and energy captured the spirit of the day — a wonderful way to thank the community for their ongoing support and wrap up another busy year.
The Nelson team also rolled up their sleeves to take care of their surroundings, including a clean-up along the Whakatū bypass and the local railway reserve.
After a quick health and safety briefing, “Scott the train” helped transport volunteers and collected waste back to the yard, where the team enjoyed a shared lunch together — a great example of teamwork, environmental care, and local pride in action.
