From 23 June, WM New Zealand will begin removing items from recycling crates, as part of a joint effort with Gisborne District Council to improve the quality of kerbside recycling.
This change is aimed at reducing the amount of recyclable material sent to landfill and supporting better environmental outcomes for our community. Items like greasy food packaging, general rubbish, and unwashed containers will be removed at the kerbside.
