Biosecurity

WM Technical Services operates several MPI Approved Transitional Facilities for receiving and destroying biosecurity risk goods. Spill response equipment

WM New Zealand supports customers by supplying a variety of spill response equipment options such as booms, pads, and mineral sponge or full kits depending on the requirement. We can also take away the used equipment after a spill clean up has taken place.

Recovered gunwash solvent supply

We recycle customer inks, paints, and thinners into a premium paint spray gun cleaning fluid. Our Chemists balance the different solvent types to get the optimum blend and confirm efficacy through our Quality Controlprotocols.

D60 recycling

The WM Technical Services solvent recovery facilitates the distillation and recycling of the D60 partswasher fluid. This product is superb as it is good at dissolving oil and grime, is not flammable or a dangerous good and can be efficiently recycled by distillation repeatedly.

Oil filter recycling

We facilitate the recycling of spent oil filters out of workshops and garages. The Oil filters are hydraulically crushed into blocks of steel for metal recycling and the recovered oil is sent to the WM New Zealand Oil Recovery team in Tauranga.

Cytotoxic

Biohazardous waste arising from chemotherapy cancer treatment is known as cytotoxic waste. Steam sterilisation is not applicable to cytotoxic waste, so WM Technical Services facilitates the safe and secure export of this waste stream to Australia for high temperature incineration.
