The promoter is Waste Management NZ Limited (NZ company number 1795427) of 318 East Tamaki Road, East Tamaki, Auckland 2013 (WMNZ).
The WM New Zealand – Silver Ferns Christmas Giveaway Promotion (Promotion) commences at 4 pm on Friday, 5th of December and closes at 9.00 am on Monday, 15th of December (Promotion Period).
WMNZ is giving away two (2) official 2025 Silver Ferns match dresses and twenty-five (25) official Silver Ferns match balls.
This Promotion is a game of skill, not chance. Entrants must nominate someone they believe deserves to win and provide a brief explanation as to why. Winners will be selected based on the merit and sentiment of their nomination, at WMNZ’s sole discretion.
By participating in this Promotion, you agree to be bound by all these terms and conditions.
Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility
- Entrants must be New Zealand residents
- Employees of WMNZ, Netball New Zealand, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter or be nominated.
2. How to Enter
- Entrants must submit an entry by commenting on the official WMNZ’s promotional post on Facebook or Instagram.
- A valid entry must include:
- The name of a person the entrant believes deserves to win (nominee); and
- A brief explanation as to why the nominee deserve the prize.
- Only entries received during the Promotion Period will be considered.
- Entrants may submit more than one nomination, but each nomination must be unique to any other entries.
3. Selection of Winners
- This Promotion is a game of skill.
- WMNZ will review all valid entries and select winners based on:
- the heart and impact behind the nomination,
- the nominee’s contribution to community or others,
- demonstrated resilience, kindness, or deserving circumstances, and
- alignment with the spirit of the Promotion.
- WMNZ will award:
- Two (2) nominees with a 2025 Silver Ferns match dress, and
- Twenty-five (25) nominees with a Silver Ferns match ball.
- (each a “Winner” and altogether “Winners”)
- The winner will be contacted by private message using the social media account they entered from.
- If a winner does not respond within three (3) working days, WMNZ reserves the right to select another winner.
4. Prizes
- Prizes consist of:
- 2 × 2025 Silver Ferns official match dresses, and
- 25 × official Silver Ferns match balls.
- Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
- WMNZ reserves the right to substitute any prize with an alternative of equal or greater value if necessary.
5. Consent and Media
- By participating in the Promotion, entrants confirm they have permission to nominate the individual named in their comment.
- Winners (or their guardians if under 16) consent to WMNZ using their name, nomination, photographs, and likeness for promotional purposes related to this Promotion and WMNZ’s ongoing partnership with the Silver Ferns, without further compensation.
6. Liability
- WMNZ is not responsible for any late, lost, misdirected, or otherwise invalid entries, including those not received due to technical issues.
- To the extent permitted by law, WMNZ and its related companies are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage (whether direct, indirect, or consequential) arising in connection with the Promotion or any prize.
7. General
- WMNZ’s decisions regarding the Promotion, including interpretation of these Terms and selection of winners, are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- WMNZ may cancel, suspend, or amend the Promotion or these Terms at any time without notice, including disqualifying any entry it reasonably considers to be fraudulent, inappropriate, or in violation of these Terms.
- All personal information collected will be held in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and WMNZ’s privacy policy. Entrants may access or correct their personal information by emailing orders@wm.nz.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
