  • Delivery and removal of skip bins

We aim to deliver your skip bin within two working days of your selected booking date. Ensure clear and safe access for delivery and collection.

  • Skip Bin Safety Do's and Don'ts

    Do

    Don't

    • Allow enough room for the driver to safely attach lifting chains
    • Allow for safe, easy access
    • Leave bins where they are placed by the WM New Zealand driver
    • Fill the bin only to the top so that it can be covered during transport and travel safely on roads
    • Call us if you need a collection or an extra bin
    • Make sure that bins have enough space around them to allow easy access
    • Adhere to council regulations and permits when placing bins on public property (e.g., berms or roadsides)
    • Check your location meets the clearance requirements: travel width: 3m, travel height: 4m and working height: 5m
    • Erect scaffolding too close to the bin
    • Overfill the bin past the top
    • Move bins under powerlines
    • Place overflow waste around the bin
    • Drag or push bins from one location to the next
    • Place the bin underneath a fixed object like a canopy or air conditioning unit
    • Book delivery without the required permits, as this may cause delays and council fines
    • Ignore clearance requirements – insufficient space may prevent delivery or collection
  • Contamination and weight limits

    Contamination

If any prohibited or hazardous materials are found during collection, a contamination charge may apply. To avoid this, please follow the guidelines closely.

    Weight limits

The max tonnage varies depending on the bin size. For more information on weight limits, please visit our website or use our address lookup tool to check what’s available in your area.
