Your General Waste bin must not contain the following:
- Liquids, or any explosive, toxic, dangerous, hazardous, or noxious materials. This includes items like asbestos, acids, solvents, paints, unwrapped broken glass, minerals, grease, cooking oil, and concrete.
- Batteries—please remove these and take them to your nearest battery collection facility.
- Biological or animal remains.
- Lawn clippings or inorganic waste.
- Any items that could pose a risk of harm or injury to our operators.

Your Garden Waste bin must not contain the following:

General waste, bamboo, cabbage tree leaves, flax, dirt, soil, rocks, newspaper, old compost, woodchips, stumps, or branches/logs.

Your recycling bin must not contain the following:

Light bulbs, window glass, crystal, ceramics, or pottery.

Glass bottles and jars: Remove corks, caps, and lids. In some areas, glass must be separated from other recyclables; refer to the website for details.

Paper and cardboard: Newspapers, magazines, junk mail, and clean cardboard are accepted. Oily or stained cardboard boxes will not be accepted.
