  • 2025 Public Holiday Information - Christchurch City Council

    • The collection will continue as normal on all public holidays except:

      • New Year's Day
      • Easter Good Friday
      • Anzac Day
      • Christmas Day

      On these days, bins for all properties will be collected the day after their normal collection day for the remainder of that week.

  • 2025 Public Holiday Information - Selwyn District Council

  • 2025 Public Holiday Information - Waimakariri District Council

    • Kerbside collections will move to the following day on these public holidays:

      • Christmas Day
      • New Years Day
      • Good Friday
      • ANZAC Day

      For all other public holidays, bins will be emptied as usual. Please make sure your bin is out by 7 am on your collection day.

  • 2025/26 Public Holiday Information – Commercial and Residential

    • Residential Wheelie Bins

      • Christmas Day collections (25 Dec) will be completed on Saturday, 27 December 2025.
      • All other public holidays will be business as usual.

       

    • Commercial Customers

      • Collections due on 25 December must be booked in advance if required before Christmas.
      • For all other public holidays, it will be business as usual, provided we have access.

    • Skip and Hook services

      • will not run on public holidays.

    • WM New Zealand Office

      • The office will be closed on statutory holidays but open on the days in between.
